The past few weeks have been huge for Honda fans around the country. The 2016 lineup is rolling out, and so far it’s featured three vehicle redesigns that we can’t wait to show you. Only the 2016 Accord Coupe and 2016 Honda Pilot have been released officially, but we have the early scoop on the 2016 Honda CR-Z. Let’s start there.
2016 Honda CR-Z
We’ll keep this short and sweet. The CR-Z is Honda’s sporty gas/electric hybrid coupe. The 2015 model offered 36mpg city and 39 mpg highway with around 130-hp. We currently don’t know any upcoming specifications of Honda’s 2016 Honda CR-Z, but we do have some pictures.
2016 Honda Pilot
The 2015 Honda Pilot was definitely a hit, but the 2016 knocks it out of the park. It’s lighter and more nimble than the 2015, more powerful, and more technologically advanced. The 2016 model ditches the boxy SUV look for a sportier SUV-minivan combo appearance. It’s a great balance that blurs the lines between utility SUV and family van. It is also the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s 2015 Top Safety pick.
The 2016 Honda Pilot offers 27mpg highway and 19mpg city, a 6 and 9 speed transmission, 2WD or AWD, with a respective towing capacity of either 3,500lbs (2WD) or 5,000lbs (AWD). It also seats up to eight passengers and offers 109 cubic feet of storage. Unfortunately for this short blog post, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Check out the rest of the 2016 Pilot’s features here.
2016 Honda Accord Coupe
Last but certainly not least we have the 2016 Honda Accord Coupe. Honda has updated the Coupe’s front headlights and fog lights, reduced the size of its front grille, and reshaped the front fascia into a more compact form. But Honda didn’t stop there – updated tail lights, and a redesigned bumper make watching the 2016 Accord pull away from you that much more enjoyable.
And with its engine options, it probably will be pulling away from you if you’re not behind the wheel. The Accord’s touring package outfits this beauty with a 278 horsepower V-6 and the choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The touring option is perfect for those who delight in cruising the open roads.
